Terms of Service

The Sword is owned and operated by Wynn Design LLC (“Wynn Design,” “we,” “our,” “us”). Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using The Sword. By downloading or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The Sword (“App”), you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Sword is an iOS application that provides Bible reading and AI-powered audio narration. The App uses the World English Bible (WEB) translation, along with AI narration powered by ElevenLabs.

3. Subscription Plans & Billing

Reading the Bible in the App is free. An optional auto-renewing subscription (“Full Access”) unlocks AI audio narration and related playback features. New subscribers receive a 3-day free trial; after the trial ends, the subscription is billed on a recurring basis through your Apple ID at the price shown at the time of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings at any time. If your subscription ends, audio features are locked until you resubscribe; reading remains free. We do not issue refunds for partial billing periods, except as required by law.

4. AI Narration

Audio narration is generated by ElevenLabs (elevenlabs.io). When you use this feature, the selected Bible passage text is transmitted to ElevenLabs servers for text-to-speech processing. ElevenLabs may process and retain this data in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at elevenlabs.io/privacy. We are not responsible for ElevenLabs' data practices.

5. Bible Content & Intellectual Property

The World English Bible is in the public domain.

The App's design, code, original graphics, and all non-Bible content are owned by Wynn Design LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the App without prior written permission.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not: (a) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the App's source code; (b) use the App in any way that violates applicable law; (c) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or networks.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WYNN DESIGN LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

9. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes go into effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, where Wynn Design LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
