Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 20, 2026
Your privacy is important to us. The Sword (“App”) is owned and operated by Wynn Design LLC (“we,” “our,” “us”). This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information when you use our iOS application.
1. Information We Collect
a) Information You Provide We only receive information you actively send us. If you submit a bug report, we receive the text of your report via your device's mail app. We do not collect this information automatically.
b) Preferences Stored on Your Device The App stores your reading preferences (font size, Bible version, appearance mode), playback settings (AI voice, speed, repeat mode), and subscription status locally using iOS UserDefaults. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us.
2. AI Narration & ElevenLabs
When you request AI narration, the selected Bible passage is sent — by way of our text-to-speech proxy server — to ElevenLabs (elevenlabs.io) to generate audio. We do not store or retain the content of these requests. ElevenLabs' handling of this data is governed by their Privacy Policy at elevenlabs.io/privacy.
3. Subscription & Payments
All subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy (apple.com/legal/privacy) governs the data collected during the purchase process. The App uses StoreKit to verify subscription status on your device.
4. Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect: • Your name, email address, or contact information • Location or GPS data • Device identifiers or advertising IDs • Usage analytics, crash reports, or behavioral data • Any data through third-party analytics SDKs
5. Data Security
Because the App stores preferences locally on your device and we do not operate servers that hold your personal data, your information is protected by your device's built-in security features (e.g., passcode, Face ID, device encryption). We do not have the ability to access or recover data stored on your device.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address below and we will take steps to delete such information.
7. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
• ElevenLabs — AI text-to-speech (elevenlabs.io/privacy) • Apple App Store — Subscription management (apple.com/legal/privacy)
8. Our Website
Our website (thesword.app) does not use analytics, advertising trackers, or cookies. If you choose to submit your email address on our website to be notified about the App's launch, we store it with our email service provider, Resend (resend.com), and use it solely to send you launch-related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or contact us to have your address deleted.
9. Your Rights
Outside of a launch-notification email you have chosen to provide, we do not collect personal data, so there is generally no personal information for us to access, correct, or delete on our end. If you have submitted a bug report via email or joined the launch list, you may request deletion by contacting us directly.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
